The 2008 Reno-Tahoe Blues Fest is scheduled for Aug. 16 – 17, 2008 at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno, Nev.
Annually, the Reno-Tahoe Blues Fest celebrates the history, culture and spirit of the blues with a two-day festival attracting audiences from around the country to hear some of the biggest names in blues. The event’s mission is to support music education for youth in the Reno-Tahoe area through a scholarship program and ongoing assistance for school music equipment purchases and jazz band programs.

2008 MEDIA CREDENTIALS AND GUIDELINES
To assist in coordinating media requests for the 2008 season, the Festival has established the following guidelines. All media requests will be answered within 48 hours.

Credential requirements
- Media must complete a media request form in advance and no later than August 8, 2008.
- Priority will be given to media on assignment.
- Each media representative attending is entitled to one (1) admission to the Festival.
- Guest tickets may be available and will be determined on a case by case basis. If the guest is also a member of the media, e.g., photographer, a separate form must be completed.
- Media activities, recordings, photos and other images will be limited in accordance with policy set by the Reno Tahoe Blues Festival, Inc. (in its sole discrestion) as well as contractual obligations to the various artists.

The Reno-Tahoe Blues Fest, founded in 2005, was created to bring world-class blues to the Reno-Tahoe region and to celebrate the history, culture and spirit of the blues. Staged annually at Reno’s Rancho San Rafael Park, the two-day festival attracts audiences from around the country to hear some of the biggest names in blues including Etta James, Clarence Carter, Buddy Guy, Bobby Rush, Keb Mo, Bobby Blue Band and others. Established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Reno-Tahoe Blues Fest supports music education for youth in the Reno-Tahoe area through a scholarship program and ongoing assistance for school music equipment purchases and jazz band programs. Funds for the festival are raised through corporate sponsorships and ticket sales.
